Nottinghamshire is proud to offer a wide range of youth services that give young people the support, guidance, and opportunities they deserve. From youth clubs and sports sessions to advice services, mentoring and outreach programmes, these services play a vital role in helping our younger generation grow in confidence, develop new skills, and feel a real sense of belonging in their communities.

Locally, Richard and Donna MacRae have always backed youth services and supported the brilliant work done by our local youth clubs. They’ve regularly attended events, helped promote activities, and built strong relationships with the people who deliver these valuable services on the ground.
But there’s more that can be done — and that’s where your vote on 1st May comes in.
If elected to Nottinghamshire County Council, Richard and Donna MacRae will have a stronger platform to speak up for our young people. They’ll be able to attend key meetings, raise issues directly with council officers, and act on concerns brought to them by local families, youth workers, and the young people themselves.
Their pledge includes:
Continuing to support and promote existing youth clubs and services across the area. Working closely with local organisations to understand the challenges they face and help find practical solutions. Raising the voices of young people at the council level — making sure their concerns, ideas, and needs are heard. Championing positive change to make services even more accessible, inclusive, and effective.
Richard and Donna believe that when we invest in our youth, we invest in our future. They are passionate about making sure young people have the support they need to thrive — not just now, but in the years to come.
Vote Richard and Donna MacRae on 1st May — because standing up for young people starts with listening, supporting, and taking action.
