Nottingham Festival of Science & Curiosity Comes to Stapleford.

Stapleford will be taking part in the Festival of Science and Curiosity 2026, a recognised celebration designed to inspire people of all ages to explore science, technology, engineering, arts and maths in fun, creative and accessible ways.

The Festival of Science and Curiosity is all about sparking imagination, encouraging questions, and helping communities discover how science and curiosity shape our everyday lives. Through hands-on activities, creative projects and community involvement, the festival aims to make learning enjoyable and inclusive for everyone.

As part of this year’s festival, a science-related project will take place on Tuesday 17th February 2026, from 10am until 2pm, at the 5&2 Community Centre, 2 Montrose Court, Stapleford, NG9 8LJ. The session promises to be an exciting opportunity for people to engage with science in a relaxed community setting.

A particularly exciting element of the event will be a display of artwork created by pupils from Fairfield Primary School. The artwork reflects young people’s creativity and curiosity, linking science with imagination and expression. Some of these fantastic pieces will also be on display at the Chayah Development Project – Stapleford, 1–3 Church Street, Stapleford, allowing even more people to enjoy the work created by local youngsters.

It is really exciting to have activities from the Festival of Science and Curiosity taking place in Stapleford, bringing together learning, creativity and community pride. It is hoped that many people will enjoy attending the session at the 5&2 Community Centre, as well as viewing the artwork on display across both locations in the town.

As more details are finalised, a further update will of course be shared. This promises to be a fantastic celebration of curiosity, creativity and community involvement right here in Stapleford.
