Broxtowe voters are being urged to make sure they are ready to take part in the County Council, Police and Crime Commissioner, Beeston Rylands, Stapleford South West Borough Wards and Brinsley Parish Council elections taking place next week.
Polling stations will be open from 7.00am to 10.00pm on Thursday 6th May and residents can only vote at the polling station stated on their own poll card. Some polling stations have changed this year so make sure you check before leaving to vote.
Elections will be slightly different this year due to COVID-19 so to make sure you vote safely, remember to wear your face covering, take your own pen or pencil and follow safety measures in place at polling stations such as floor markings and using hand sanitiser.
Residents should check which polling station is listed on their polling cards or visit www.broxtowe.gov.uk/locateit to find their nearest polling station.
Postal votes must be returned by 10.00pm on Thursday 6th May. Anyone who has not been able to post their vote before polling day can take their postal vote to their polling station on polling day and hand it in before 10.00pm.
If you’ve appointed a proxy, they need to make sure they are able to vote at the correct polling station on your behalf.
The full list of candidates for Broxtowe are available on the Council’s upcoming elections webpage.
