Push Bike Broxtowe

On Monday I hosted a meeting of my Push Bike Broxtowe Forum to discuss ways we can make improvements locally to best facilitate active travel. It was great to see some new faces in attendance, who contributed to some brilliant discussions on cycling infrastructure, reducing bike theft and ideas to encourage more children to cycle.

Work in Parliament

On Thursday I asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, Michael Gove MP, whether he agreed with me that Toton is the only choice for the HS2 East Midlands Hub to truly level up the East Midlands. The Government’s Levelling Up Agenda is focused on supporting individuals into employment and improving local transport links – this is precisely what the HS2 East Midlands Hub at Toton will do.
