How to Report Potholes and Blocked Drains in Nottinghamshire.

How to Report Potholes and Blocked Drains in Nottinghamshire.

Reporting Potholes & Road Damage.

If you’ve spotted a pothole in a Nottinghamshire road, you can report it to Nottinghamshire County Council so it can be inspected and repaired. The Council’s online form lets you pinpoint the exact location on a map and upload a photo if you have one. You can report anonymously, but including your email means you’ll be updated when the inspection or repair is underway.

👉 Report a pothole online:

Alternatively, you can use the MyNotts app to report problems on the go.

Reporting Blocked Drains, Gullies & Flooding.

If water is pooling on the road because of a blocked drain or gully, there’s a dedicated form you can use too. Blocked drains can cause flooding that damages vehicles and property if left unchecked.

You’ll be asked to mark the location on a map and describe the issue — adding a photo helps inspectors assess the severity.

Other Ways to Report.

If you’d prefer not to report online, you can also contact Nottinghamshire County Council’s customer service team:

📞 Customer Services: 0300 500 80 80 (Mon–Fri, typical working hours)

Using official channels helps ensure that the right department receives your report and that it’s logged properly for inspection and action.

Why Your Reports Make a Difference.

The county council inspects roads across Nottinghamshire, but it simply can’t be everywhere at once. Many repairs to potholes, blocked drains and other highway problems only happen because residents report them. Your reports help highways teams prioritise work where it’s needed most urgently.

If a pothole or blocked drain is causing a real safety hazard (for example, creating a risk of skidding, flooding or vehicle damage), please mention that clearly in your report and include a photo if possible.
