Blast Off with Rocket Making at the 5&2 Community Centre.

Residents of Stapleford are invited to get ready for lift-off as part of the Nottinghamshire Festival of Science and Curiosity 2026.



From 10am on Tuesday 17th February, the 5&2 Community Centre, Montrose Court, Stapleford, NG9 8LJ, will be hosting a fun and hands-on rocket-making session for the local community. This exciting activity will give people the chance to design, build and launch rockets, all while discovering the science behind how they work.

The event is designed to be welcoming and inclusive, encouraging people of all ages to get involved. Whether you are already fascinated by science or simply curious to try something new, the session promises plenty of fun, creativity and shared learning in a relaxed community setting.

As part of the Nottinghamshire Festival of Science and Curiosity (FOSAC), the event celebrates curiosity, imagination and discovery, showing that science can be engaging, accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
