Your inspiration for the May Half Term!
Have-a-go archery, immersing the family in the world of the Wizard of Oz and adventure activities are just some of the activities included in the county council’s top picks for the May Half Term.
Sherwood Forest Country Park is set to welcome families back to a programme of events, kicking off on Saturday 29 May while ‘Oz – The Immersive Adventure’ begins a two-week run at Rufford Abbey on Wednesday 2 June.
Holme Pierrepont Country Park is also welcoming adventurers back to explore activities including the sky trail, lagoon wipeout, and mini golf – all of which can be enjoyed by children aged eight to 14 while attending the Adventure Holiday Club.
Nottinghamshire’s libraries, managed by Inspire Culture, will also be providing half term fun through a number of online events aimed at children of all ages.
Councillor John Cottee, Chairman of the Communities Committee at Nottinghamshire County Council, said: “We are delighted that families across Nottinghamshire will be able to attend events at our country parks once more this half term.
“It is important to remember that while restrictions may have eased, social distancing measures will still be in place, and regular handwashing remains essential to stop the spread of coronavirus.
“Families wishing to attend events across Nottinghamshire this half term can find a full list of activities on our ‘Top Picks for the May Half Term’ page.
“For those hoping to explore the outdoors this half term, our country parks and green spaces offer thousands of acres of opportunities to explore Nottinghamshire.
“Whether you’re attending an event or exploring the outdoors, don’t forget to share your photos with us on social media, making sure to tag #ExploreNotts!”
